BANGKOK, 9 November 2017 – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, joined hands with The American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) to host the annual FedEx Career Camp from 29 October to 1 November at the AIA Training Center in Bangkok.

This year, the program coached more than 50 students from 22 universities across Thailand on valuable career enhancing skills. Over the course of two days, the students had the chance to learn to write a professional resume, guided by the FedEx human resources department. In addition, they experienced mock job interviews conducted by the FedEx human resources department along with other AMCHAM member companies.

“Through our FedEx Cares Global Entrepreneurship pillar, we are committed to developing future business leaders and we are proud to support this career development program for the seventh consecutive year,” said Gina Galvin, managing director, FedEx Express Thailand. “In today’s increasingly borderless world, students need to be prepared and well-aware of the business environment they will soon enter. Through FedEx Career Camp, students get to meet executives and employees, gaining a better understanding of how companies operate and preparing themselves as they embark on their careers.”

“This program is one of the best experiences I have had,” said Nuttapong Songsang, a student from Thaksin University. “Not only did I learn tips for writing an effective resume, I gained valuable experience through a mock interview. In addition, discussing my career path with professionals working for global companies helped understand how to better prepare myself for my future career.”

Since 2010, more than 376 students have attended the camp and gained helpful skills to better prepare them to enter the professional world.

The program is part of the FedEx Cares global giving initiative, in which FedEx is investing $200 million in more than 200 global communities by 2020 to create opportunities and deliver solutions for people around the world.
