FedEx back for the 2012 Thailand Open

BANGKOK, September 12, 2012 –FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), is back as the “Official Carrier” for the 2012 Thailand Open, marking the second year of its involvement with the tournament.

The sponsorship, which was confirmed at the official launch of the 2012 Thailand Open recently, is part of FedEx three year agreement to be a global Platinum Sponsor of the ATP World Tour. The global sponsorship, which commenced in 2011, encompasses 18 ATP World Tour tournaments in 13 different countries.

The Thailand Open is to be held at the Muang Thong Thani Impact Arena from the 24th to the 30th of September. First held in 2003, the Thailand Open is one of two ATP World Tour Events held in Southeast Asia. A number of past and present top 10 players have won the Bangkok title including two-time champion Roger Federer, James Blake, Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, Gilles Simon and most recently, Andy Murray.
