FedEx Appoints New Regional Vice President for South Pacific Operations

HONG KONG, August 10, 2011 — FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, has appointed Karen Reddington as Vice President of FedEx Express South Pacific.



Based in Singapore, Dr Reddington manages over 2900 employees and is responsible for developing and executing corporate strategies to drive the FedEx business forward in the South Pacific region, which includes Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.



Dr Reddington first joined FedEx in 1997 as an Operations Research Advisor in Hong Kong and rose quickly to take up the position of System Form Planning Manager in 2000. She was then promoted to Managing Director, Network Planning in 2002, and over the next five years was responsible for doubling FedEx Asia Pacific’s inter-continental network.



From 2007, Dr Reddington held the position of Managing Director of Planning and Engineering, where she led the successful rollout of the FedEx Operations Optimization project as well as several quality and service initiatives across the region.



“Karen’s strong leadership and experience in the air express business in Asia will be key to FedEx’s continued growth in the South Pacific region,” said David L. Cunningham Jr., regional president, FedEx Asia Pacific.



“As a mark of her success, Karen has received the company’s prestigious Five Star award on three separate occasions in 2005, 2007 and 2010 for her outstanding contributions to the business,” he added.



The FedEx Five Star award is an annual award awarded by the company to team members who have enhanced service profitability and exemplified the spirit of teamwork. The recognition is the highest honor at FedEx.



Dr Reddington succeeds Mr David Ross , who has assumed the position of Vice President, India Domestic Operations.
