FedEx Announces Leadership Appointments in UK & Ireland

FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company and a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) has appointed Trevor Hoyle as VP Operations FedEx UK & Ireland, effective January 1, 2014. Formerly Managing Director Ground Operations UK & Ireland, FedEx Express & FedEx UK, Hoyle has a proven track record in both international and domestic operations.

His appointment follows the recent announcement that effective January 1, 2014 David Binks will assume the role of Regional President, FedEx Express, EMEA and that Michael Holt will be promoted to Senior Vice President, European Operations. FedEx has a strong presence in UK & Ireland and Hoyle will be responsible for continuing to drive the region’s success.

With a background in engineering, Hoyle joined FedEx Express in 1995 as an operations manager, becoming MD of UK operations in 2001 where he delivered significant improvements in service and efficiency. Following the acquisition of the ANC Group in the UK, Hoyle moved across to FedEx UK as MD of Domestic Operations in April 2007. In January 2012, Hoyle also took on management responsibilities for Express international ground operations within the UK and Ireland, helping leverage the company’s capabilities even further across these markets.

Hoyle is a four times recipient of the FedEx Five Star Award[1], the highest prestige for a FedEx employee, and was also recognised with a Global Quality Success Award in 2012 for delivering five years of continuous service improvement and cost reduction.
