FedEx opens station in the Berlin area: FedEx has expanded its presence in Berlin and opened a station in Großbeeren, a southern suburb of the German capital city. The station employs more than 20 people, for example, in the pickup and delivery of packages, planning, and in administrative positions. In March 2012, the company opened a station in the Berlin neighborhood of Neukölln, creating more than 30 jobs.

At both stations, FedEx sorts and bundles packages from customers in the region which are then delivered or sent to recipients in Europe and around the world.

Berlin is connected to the FedEx Europe hub at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris with four weekly flights. This allows customers from most of the Berlin and surrounding area to access locations generating 90% of global GDP in one to two business days.
