INTEX show culminates with FedEx Finale

DELHI, September 30, 2006— The third edition of INTEX Trade Fair for Autumn 07-08, India ’s premier apparel, fabrics and accessories trade show, culminated into a gala finale on September 30, 2006 at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. The three-day landmark event was supported by all major trade bodies. FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company, was the Associate Sponsor of the event.

In this edition of INTEX, FedEx provided visitors a unique option to actually Ship with FedEx at the Trade Fair itself. Trade visitors and Exhibitors alike got to witness the superior Customer Experience that FedEx offers by actually shipping their consignments right there at the FedEx booth. An exciting contest called ‘Guess what’s in the FedEx Fashion Box’ was also held through the three days to generate an interest and buzz around the FedEx booth. There were also daily fashion show sequences as models walked the ramp showcasing collections from various exhibitors.

Earlier, the show was made open to public with great fanfare on September 28, 2006. The FedEx stall was inaugurated by the Honourable Union Minister for Commerce & Industry, Mr. Kamal Nath.

Mr. Hemanth D. P – Global Sales Manager – FedEx Express India was also present on the occasion. A copy of ‘FedEx Delivers’- an insightful book that talks about how FedEx keeps innovating and outperforming the competition was presented to Mr. Kamal Nath as a memento at the FedEx booth. Mr. Nath was shown around the stall.

On the final day, the contents of the FedEx Fashion Box was revealed as a part of the ‘Guess What’s in the FedEx Fashion Box’ Contest. The lucky winner, Mr. Jasjeet Dureja, Senior Manager – Oswal Denims was the lucky recipient of not only an exclusive FedEx backpack but also a sleek, state-of-the-art Laptop computer. This was followed by the FedEx Grand Finale to the Daily Fashion Show Sequences organized at the venue where the models walked the ramp showcasing the FedEx Fashion Boxes in an interestingly unique manner.
