FedEx, an Official Sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, has launched the first episode of its Delivering For Success content series.

Following his lead role in the FedEx Champions of Business campaign, world renowned football legend, Andrés Iniesta teamed up with the brand to deliver the UEFA Champions League trophy. Starting at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, Iniesta travelled across Switzerland with the final stop in Bavaria, Germany. Along the way he inspired communities building anticipation for the upcoming UEFA Champions League Final on May 31 in Munich.

The former Spanish midfield superstar joined FedEx as the chosen UEFA Champions League courier in the journey. With a spirited “Vamos!” they set off on their adventure.

Their first stop was the International Football Club of Bern, an amateur club boasting over 40 players from 16 different nationalities. With a donation of football equipment from FedEx to support the club’s journey and growth, Iniesta also took to the pitch, showcasing the skills that led him to four UEFA Champions League victories with FC Barcelona.

Next, they visited the DFI Football Academy in Bavaria, a boarding school for aspiring professional footballers. This visit allowed Iniesta to reflect on his time at La Masia, where he developed the personality, humility and ‘never give up attitude’ needed for a professional footballer. During an engaging Q&A session, Iniesta inspired the young generation, helping to set them up for success on and off the pitch.

At the final stop the European football legend visited the UEFA Foundation for Children charity, SCORING GIRLS*. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Founder, Tuğba Tekkal who shared the charity’s mission and how football can be used as a vehicle of positivity to encourage a better life. Together, Iniesta, and Tekkal led an empowering training session, boosting the girls’ confidence and joy as they thrived on the pitch. In a thrilling surprise, Iniesta and FedEx unveiled the UEFA Champions League trophy, to the delight and amazement of the girls.

Andrés Iniesta commented: “It’s been such a special experience to see firsthand what success means to different communities and to see how the power of football brings everyone together. It’s clear from this trip how many people love and enjoy the game, and how it benefits their lives in such a positive way.”

The closing scene then sees the FedEx courier driving into Munich with the Munich Football Stadium on the horizon. ‘The Journey Continues….’

The journey will continue, ahead of the UEFA Champions League Final in coming weeks.
