Disadvantaged Children in Korea Enjoy an Eco-Friendly Recreational Space with the Completion of the Fifth FedEx ‘Dream Park Project’

SEOUL, April 29, 2013— The fifth youth center for disadvantaged children in Korea now has a safe and eco-friendly recreational area thanks to the FedEx Dream Park Project. The fifth ‘Dream Park Project’ was undertaken as part of FedEx 40th anniversary celebrations.

Last Saturday, 50 FedEx volunteers and youth residents of the Shinseng Children’s Home in Gyeonggi-do, celebrated the successful construction of the center’s new, multi-purpose recreational area. As part of the celebrations, FedEx employees cleaned the new site and played games with children.

Since, 2009 FedEx Express in Korea has helped to support disadvantaged children through the Dream Park project in conjunction with the Partners For The Future Foundation. The project remodels unused outdoor space to create play areas for children, providing them an opportunity for recreation outdoors and a better quality of life.
