HO CHI MINH CITY – FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company and a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), announced the winners of the FedEx Express/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (FedEx/JA ITC) in Vietnam. These young entrepreneurs will represent Vietnam to compete with 54 counterparts from nine other markets at the Asia Pacific Finals, which will be held August 12-16 in Singapore.
At the Vietnam Finals this year, 40 finalists in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi presented their market entry strategies for a technology product that addresses problems caused by the population growth in China. 93 teams with two students per team submitted their business plans, and 20 teams were invited to present their ideas in front of a panel of judges at the local competition. The judging panel, composed of FedEx and Junior Achievement representatives, evaluated the ideas based on the originality of their concept, feasibility of their strategy, and thoroughness of research for their business plans.
The six students from 3 teams who will advance to the Asia Pacific FedEx/JA ITC in Vietnam are:

In addition to attending the regional finals, the Board of Judges awarded Nguyen Ha Thanh Thao from UK Academy and Vo Ha Thu from Vinschool, with the inaugural Golden Key scholarship. Nguyen Ha Thanh Thao and Vo Ha Thu were recognized for their creative ideas and high impact presentation. The scholarship, sponsored by The University of Greenwich (Vietnam), aims to nurture talented students in international business, start-up or innovation competitions. The winning students will be awarded a VND40,000,000 grant that can be used to study at the University of Greenwich (Vietnam).

The ITC program introduces the fundamentals of global trade to aspiring young entrepreneurs and provides them with a solid foundation to build their future careers in business. To help Vietnamese students prepare for the intensive selection process, workshops were conducted to guide them in developing their business plans and enhance their presentation skills.
