HONG KONG, September 6, 2017 – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, has been named the Best Employer in Asia Pacific by Aon Hewitt for the sixth time. This regional title was awarded to FedEx Express after it was named the Best Employer in three out of the seven Asia Pacific markets that have announced the results – Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore.
“At FedEx, we are a people-focused organization,” said Karen Reddington, president, FedEx Express Asia Pacific. “We place great emphasis on the growth and development of our employees because they are the biggest contributors to our business success. This recognition as Best Employer in Asia Pacific reinforces FedEx reputation as a great place to work and serves as a testament to the hard work of our 24,000 team members in the region.”
Established in 2001, the Aon Best Employers program provides insights into how organizations can create a real competitive advantage through people, explores what makes a workplace of choice, and identifies a list of best employers in Asia Pacific. The 2017 program is conducted in 14 markets in the region: Australia, mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Middle East, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Each year, regional titles are awarded to companies with three or more Best Employer title wins in the individual markets within the region.
FedEx has received consistent recognition as an employer of choice in both Asia Pacific and globally. Earlier this year, FedEx was ranked 11th in Fortune’s “World’s Most Admired Companies” list. This marks the 17th consecutive year that FedEx had ranked among the top 20 on the list, with 13 of those years ranking among the top 10. Fortune also included FedEx on its prestigious “100 Best Companies to Work For” 2017 list.
