19th May, Ho Chi Minh City, 2011 - FedEx Vietnam held a seminar themed “Strategize Your Supply Chain for Sustainable Advantage” in Ho Chi Minh City. Around 120 guests from many different business fields had the chance to hear about the latest methods in supply chain management and how these can add efficiency and boost a company’s ability to compete.
Keynote speaker at the half-day event was Ms. Jocelyn Tran, Vice Chairman of AmCham Vietnam/ Associate Vice President of MAST Industries. Among the topics she covered were: trends and current issues in supply chain management; achieving maximum efficiency for the lowest cost by applying leading supply chain practices; and how leading businesses are globalizing their supply chain operations to achieve competitive advantage.
Guests participated in a panel discussion and Q & A session led by Mr. Nguyen Duy Binh, Senior Manager of Indochina, Chief Representative of FedEx in Vietnam, where supply chain issues and solutions for Vietnamese businesses were aired.
Ms. Grace Lo, Managing Director, Sales for FedEx Express in the South Pacific said “Our aim at FedEx is to use the latest technological advances to provide our customers with shipping options that help them to access and compete for global trade opportunities. We hope that this seminar today has given them a practical update on supply chain trends and ideas that are relevant to their needs.”
