Hong Kong SAR, January 5, 2026 — Federal Express Corporation, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, has been awarded the SDG Corporate Award – Impact Achievement. The award underscores the company’s support for the local Fair Trade movement and commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By integrating the SDGs into business operation, FedEx has been driving its business focus towards sustainability and fostering an equitable and inclusive society, as well as high governance standards in Hong Kong.

Organized by Fair Trade Hong Kong Foundation (FTHK), The Fair Trade Awards has been in place since 2018 as the only recognition of Fair Trade participation and advocacy in Hong Kong. Renamed and expanded as the SDG Excellence Awards, it now honors corporates and projects that embed social value, environmental stewardship, and economic inclusivity into their operations, and that align business decisions with the SDGs to advance equity, gender equality, and ethical business practices.

In 2021, FedEx has set a goal to achieve carbon-neutral operations across its global operations by 2040. To accelerate FedEx’s sustainability drive and support its global carbon-neutral ambition in Hong Kong, FedEx is transforming its last-mile delivery operations through fleet electrification. Earlier this year, FedEx has expanded the Hong Kong delivery fleet by adding new electric vehicles (EVs) for parcel pickup and delivery operations.

Additionally, FedEx has been collaborating with local social enterprises to recycle logistical waste, including upcycling aging uniform into brand new FedEx products, and transforming wood skids into cat litter as well as reusable materials for other shipping companies. Other collaborative activities including tree-planting and beach cleanup initiatives, which help foster sustainable and positive growth within the local community.

Over the years, FedEx has been embedding sustainability into its culture by investing in future talent and working with nonprofits to expand opportunity and uphold dignity and respect for all. Through collaborative community initiatives such as FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (FedEx/JA ITC), they equip young people, veterans, and students with practical skills, career exposure, and pathways to employment.

These sustained efforts reflect FedEx’s broader commitment to embedding sustainability into its business operations and community, and to delivering long-term value for its customers and stakeholders as well as its employee and the wider community in Hong Kong.
