FedEx Underscores Overnight Promise in New Print Advertising Campaign

SINGAPORE—FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, has launched a new print advertising campaign to emphasize its next business day delivery commitment on intra-Asia shipments.

The campaign is an extension of its earlier TV commercials (TVCs) of “taking the drama out of delivery,” centering on FedEx strength of providing customers with overnight access to key markets and opportunities in Asia.

The core creative concept demonstrates FedEx speed and reliability, using examples of customers from a variety of industries relying on FedEx for their ‘demanding deliveries.’ It also highlights how FedEx removes the drama from critical deliveries through its fast, reliable overnight service. The campaign visuals were inspired by photographs that captured high speed movements to convey the speed and precision of FedEx services.

“Customers depend on FedEx reliable service for their urgent shipping needs,” said Malcolm Sullivan, vice president, Marketing and Customer Experience, FedEx Express Asia Pacific. “Our new advertising campaign reinforces our promise to customers, and underscores FedEx as the ‘go-to’ partner for companies needing packages to be delivered to key Asia Pacific destinations the next day.”

The print campaign has been launched in November in 11 Asia Pacific markets including Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, followed by a launch in China in December.

In September, FedEx launched its new TVC, “Take the Drama out of Delivery.” The Hollywood blockbuster movie style of the commercial delivers the message that FedEx is the preferred shipping partner for today’s ever more demanding world.

Since June, FedEx has introduced a series of service enhancement initiatives in Asian markets to further strengthen its products and services for shippers. These include the introduction of the Extra Large Pak (XL Pak) for larger shipments; expansion of FedEx International Economy® (IE) and FedEx International Economy® Freight (IEF) services with more routes inside Asia Pacific and beyond; and deployment of a new A300-600 aircraft from Incheon, South Korea to the FedEx Asia-Pacific hub in Guangzhou, China, providing additional capacity to Europe & Asia.
