TOKYO, September XX, 2013 – FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYS: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, will sponsor the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships 2013, which will be held from September 30 to October 6.
During the competition, FedEx will have a booth at the venue with fun games and premium ATP prizes as well as an autograph session with participating tennis players. On the final day of the competition, October 6, London Olympic hammer thrower bronze medalist Koji Murofushi (sponsored by Mizuno) will be at the event to interact with fans.

FedEx began its sponsorship of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in September 2010 and supports 22 ATP tour championships in 14 countries worldwide. Star players slated to take part in the 2013 Rakuten Japan Open include Kei Nishikori, Andy Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the singles competition and Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan in the doubles.
