Shanghai, China, November 10, 2025 — The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) has officially opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is featured in the “Service Trade” section, showcasing its achievements under the themes of “Resilient Supply Chain,” “Digital Transformation,” “Sustainability,” and “Social Responsibility”. Through its continuously optimized logistics network and digital innovations, FedEx supports seamless connectivity between China and global markets.
This year, FedEx has designed an open booth featuring physical exhibits, multimedia displays, and interactive installations to showcase its advancements in logistics networks, digital innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility. In the “Speed Trajectory” interactive zone, visitors can immerse themselves in FedEx global air network, virtually traveling to key cities and logistics hubs worldwide to experience the company’s efficient and reliable transportation services.
“CIIE is a vital platform for international economic and trade cooperation, as well as a strategic intersection for FedEx to grow and innovate alongside the Chinese market,” said Poh-Yian Koh, president of FedEx China. “As a key player in the logistics industry, we have witnessed and contributed to the evolution of China’s supply chains toward higher quality and connectivity. Moving forward, we will continue to leverage our extensive global network, reliable logistics services, and firm commitment to sustainability to help customers build smart, resilient, and sustainable supply chains, creating greater value in the new era of global trade.”
At this year’s CIIE booth, FedEx highlights its key achievements in the Chinese market, including:
- Resilient Supply Chain: FedEx continues to enhance its logistics network in China. The company established six international gateway facilities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Qingdao, and Xiamen. Currently, the company operates over 300 international flights per week in and out of China, efficiently connecting Chinese customers with global markets. FedEx has recently added five weekly flights from Shanghai and Guangzhou to Paris, to boost trade between China and Europe. It has also increased cargo flight frequencies between China and Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand. These moves strengthen connectivity between China and global markets.
- Digital Transformation: As a proactive advocate and practitioner of smart supply chains, FedEx continues to introduce innovative digital tools to enhance customers’ logistics experience. At CIIE, FedEx showcases its advanced solutions, including the Online Import and Export Customs Declaration Tools, Collaborative Shipping Tool, and Picture Proof of Delivery. These diverse digital tools offer Chinese customers, especially SMEs, smarter and more convenient logistics experiences, helping them optimize supply chain management and seize cross-border trade opportunities more effectively.
- Sustainability: FedEx is working towards a goal of carbon-neutral operations globally by 2040. In China, the company has implemented multiple initiatives, including vehicle electrification and sustainable infrastructure to reduce operational carbon emissions. Meanwhile, the FedEx Sustainability Insights tool helps customers make supply chain decisions informed by shipping emissions estimates. This year, FedEx partnered with All-China Environment Federation (ACEF) to launch the 2025 “Protecting One Kilometer of A River Course” environmental public welfare program and the University Students Environmental Entrepreneurship Challenge, promoting environment protection and empowering youth innovation.
- Social Responsibility: FedEx actively fulfills its corporate social responsibilities to “Drive forward. Give back.” Through FedEx Cares, a global community engagement program, the company conducts in-kind shipping, employee volunteering, and charitable giving. In FY25, the FedEx Library Program established 40 reading rooms and book corners across China, donating more than 12,000 books. Additionally, FedEx “Delivering for Good” supports the movement of rescued and endangered animals by leveraging FedEx global network and logistics expertise. The company also has had the privilege of transporting 21 pandas to and from China with 12 cross-border transports.
