FedEx Participates in the 133rd China Import and Export Fair

Guangzhou, April 24, 2023 — FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is presenting its service excellence at the 133rd China Import and Export Fair (also known as the Canton Fair) in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Its booth highlights the advantages of FedEx services and solutions for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and the e-commerce industry.

FedEx is presenting from April 23 to 27 (Phase 2), marking the company’s first participation in the Canton Fair. It has sets up an independent booth in Hall 20, Zone D, and operates a temporary service point to receive packages and provide express deliveries for exhibitors and visitors.

In addition, FedEx has teamed up with PingPong, its e-commerce compatible solutions partner, to host a series of livestream events during the fair. The livestreams will share insights about industry trends, relevant policies, and business development for e-commerce customers.

The Canton Fair is a trade bridge that connects China and the global market, and its long-standing success underscores the strong resilience of China’s foreign trade. In the first quarter in 2023, foreign trade has demonstrated a month-on-month improvement. The country’s total goods imports and exports expanded 4.8 percent year-on-year to 9.89 trillion RMB, with exports growing 8.4 percent year-on-year to 5.65 trillion RMB[1].

This year also marks the 50th birthday of FedEx. The company has been committed to enhancing connections between China and the rest of the world, and advocating for global trade since entering the China market in 1984. Guangdong province is not only a vital portal for China’s foreign trade, but also a key location for the FedEx global network. Located at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, the FedEx APAC Hub currently operates more than 210 international flights per week. As the global economy continues to recover, FedEx will continuously support the quality and steady development of China’s foreign trade, leveraging its reliable supply chain services.
