SEOUL, South Korea, Jan 12, 2023— FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is bolstering its inbound shipment service to better serve customers in Seoul and the Greater Seoul area[1]. They can now enjoy same-day delivery on flight arrivals for non-dutiable shipments[2] from Asia, Europe, and the United States. The same-day delivery service on inbound shipments also applies to dutiable shipments that complete customs clearance before the cut-off time[3].

The new service will enhance the customer experience for businesses including e-tailers. Importers and consumers in the Southern Gyeonggi Province, including Yongin and Hwaseong will benefit by receiving their shipments from overseas markets faster, as a result of the new FedEx Incheon Gateway that came into operation in November 2022. Customers in Dongtan and Pangyo, the two largest commercial districts, as well as IT and tech companies, semi-conductor manufacturers and equipment providers in the province will also benefit from this new service.

“We are constantly strengthening our service offerings to meet the growing demand for fast and reliable delivery of urgent deliveries,” said Wonbin Park, managing director of FedEx Express Korea. “With cumulative imports reaching an all-time high of USD 198 billion[4] from January to November 2022, we are geared up to support the surge in Korean inbound cross-border trade with our new Incheon Gateway and inbound same-day delivery service.”

FedEx continues to innovate its shipping solutions to make it more convenient for businesses, consumers and e-retailers to manage their deliveries. For example, FedEx® International Connect Plus (FICP) allows e-tailers across fourteen AMEA markets[5] to offer their customers an international shipping solution, enabling delivery of most shipments between 1 to 3 business days* within AMEA. For extremely urgent shipments FedEx International Priority® Express (IPE) provides AMEA customers with delivery by 10.30am or noon to select markets in Asia[6], United States, Canada and Europe.
