Singapore, September 17, 2025 — Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, announced the launch of the FedEx Import Tool in Singapore. This innovative solution uses advanced technology to address the increasing complexities of international trade for businesses.

This automated single-window solution will transform the import process and provide greater visibility on the overall end-to-end experience for importers, making importing simpler and more efficient.

With Singapore’s total imports reaching S$611.4 billion in 2024, a 7.77% increase from the previous year, the demand for streamlined customs clearance will continue to rise. The FedEx Import Tool helps customers easily submit customs clearance documents and adhere to regulatory compliance requirements.

Key features of the FedEx Import Tool include:

  • Unified self-service platform to streamline the shipping process by centralizing document management and shipment tracking.
  • Dashboard with real-time clearance tracking to monitor every stage of import shipments and customs progress, with visibility up to 90 days after pickup.
  • Proactive notifications via email and mobile to help expedite the clearance process and reduce delays.
  • Flexible document upload to submit clearance instructions and supporting documents proactively or upon agent request.
  • Quick document retrieval to easily download post-clearance paperwork and records.
  • Versatile login options to manage shipments as a shipper, importer, or consignee - with or without a fedex.com ID.
  • Convenient GST duties and taxes payment with email and mobile reminders, accessible directly from the shipment’s tracking page on fedex.com.

“Singapore’s position as a global trade hub calls for logistics solutions that harness innovation to address growing complexities,” said Eric Tan, managing director of FedEx Singapore. “The FedEx Import Tool does exactly that, using digital technology to streamline customs processes, increase transparency, and give importers the tools to manage their shipments with confidence. It’s part of how FedEx is fulfilling its mission of making supply chains smarter for everyone.”

With its mission to make supply chains smarter for everyone, FedEx is creating digital solutions to help its customers anticipate challenges and stay competitive in the everchanging global marketplace. Earlier this year, FedEx launched the Collaborative Shipping Tool in Singapore, which simplifies the import process for customers by enabling seamless collaboration between importers and shippers during Airway Bill (AWB) creation, enhancing overall efficiency when moving goods across the globe.

Other digital tools include FedEx Ship Manager™ which helps small businesses and e-commerce merchants efficiently manage their shipments online. Customers can also arrange shipments on their mobile devices through FedEx Ship Manager Lite. FedEx is applying advanced technologies like machine learning to provide its customers with a four-hour window for incoming deliveries. The company continues to harness technology to enhance its networks and provide customers with the tools they need to stay ahead.
