HONG KONG, Dec. 3, 2008 –FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, was awarded the Supply Chain Integrator of the Year award at the Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards 2008, recognizing the company for its quality of services, shipping reliability and strength of global network.

Supply Chain Asia Logistics Award is one of Asia-Pacific’s most established and prestigious accolades for top industry players. Finalists for each category are chosen by Supply Chain Asia Magazine’s 8,700 readersand via its web portal. The category winners are selected by a panel of 14 independent judges, comprising veterans and specialists of the industry. A total of 16 awards were presented on the evening of November 20, 2008.
FedEx introduced several service enhancements in the region this year to meet increasing demand for time-definite express services, including FedEx International Economy® service, which was rolled out across 13 Asia Pacific markets to address the needs of Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) customers who look for reliability and cost efficiency as a top priority when shipping. FedEx also launched a new A310 service in Vietnam, increasing capacity by five-fold to more than 30,000kg a day, to meet customer demand.
In April 2008, FedEx Express scooped several major honours, including the coveted Best Express Operator accolade, the Best Logistics Service Provider (Air Freight), the Best Road Haulier, the Best Air Cargo Carrier (North America) and the Best All Freighter Airline at the 22nd Annual Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA).
