HONG KONG, November 13, 2014 — FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company and a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), today announced appointments to two key positions in its Asia Pacific senior management team.
Dr. Karen Reddington, who is currently vice president, FedEx Express, South Pacific, will take up the role of president, FedEx Express, Asia Pacific, beginning January 2015. She is succeeding David L. Cunningham Jr., who will return to FedEx headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee to become chief operating officer. At the same time, Kevin O’Hearn will take up Karen Reddington’s previous role as vice president, FedEx Express, South Pacific beginning in December.
In her new role, Karen Reddington will lead the overall planning and implementation of corporate strategies and operations across more than 30 markets and territories that make up the APAC region. She will manage more than 18,000 employees. Kevin O’Hearn will manage corporate strategies and operations in the South Pacific region, which is managed as a sub-division of APAC, alongside the North Pacific region. He will oversee almost 6,000 employees across Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Karen Reddington joined the company in 1997, as an operations research advisor in Hong Kong. Following a series of promotions in the intervening years, she took on the role of vice president, FedEx Express, South Pacific, in 2011. Kevin O’Hearn joined FedEx Express in 1990 and held various sales management posts across Asia from 1992. He most recently served as vice president, Asia Pacific Global Sales & Solutions and South Pacific Sales, where he was responsible for the overall vision and leadership for the FedEx Express South Pacific sales team.

Globally, more than half of the FedEx management team has risen through the ranks of the company. These include FedEx Express Asia Pacific president David Cunningham, who began his career sorting and loading packages in the Company’s Memphis hub, and David Bronczek, chief executive officer of FedEx Express, who began his career as a courier.
