FedEx Exhibits at INTERPHEX JAPAN 2016


TOKYO, June 29, 2016 – FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), is exhibiting at “INTERPHEX JAPAN 2016,” which is being held at Tokyo Big Sight between Wednesday, June 29 and Friday, July 1.

At the exhibit, major elements of FedEx healthcare shipping solutions, including tools and facilities, are being introduced. In addition to introducing the FedEx Cold Chain Center Memphis, the latest cold chain facility opened by FedEx in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S. in spring 2016, and cold shipping packages that maintain a constant shipment temperature, there will be a live demonstration of the shipping monitoring service, SenseAware®, which will be introduced into the Japanese market.

About FedEx Cold Chain Center Memphis

FedEx Cold Chain Center Memphis is a facility that strengthens healthcare transportation capabilities. The facility has three temperature-controlled areas; a cross dock station with direct trailer access to the cold environment; real-time carbon dioxide, humidity and temperature monitoring facilities; safe dry ice replenishment and gel pack exchange capabilities; and, a 24/7 dedicated monitoring station by FedEx personnel. With smaller-scale cold chain facilities at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in France, the Cologne Bonn Airport in Germany, and the Kansai International Airport in Japan, FedEx operates an international Cold Chain network.
