BANGKOK, August 22, 2012 — With call-in cut-off times for outbound shipments as late as 19:00, FedEx Express (FedEx) customers in Thailand now enjoy additional time and flexibility when preparing their outbound shipments to Europe. The two-hour improvement in pick-up times for packages destined for the European Union and greater flexibility for customers at the point where the parcel is picked up is the latest in a series of FedEx service enhancements.
FedEx supports local and small businesses by making strategic investments to respond to customer needs,” said David Carden, managing director of FedEx Express in Thailand and Indochina. “Despite a challenging economic environment in Europe, Thailand remains a strong EU trading partner with trade between the two markets growing year-on-year. We hope that our service improvements will give customers a strong competitive advantage when doing business in Europe.”
In addition to extended cut-off times for packages destined for Europe, the cut-off times have also been extended for shipments to the continents of North and South America. This service enhancement for EU destinations benefits Bangkok and its surrounding areas as well as Chiang Mai, Lumphun, and Laemchabang.
