SEOUL, South Korea, June 1, 2026 — Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, today announced a collaboration with Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) to help small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Gyeonggi Province expand into global markets.

Gyeonggi Province continues to be a key driver of Korea’s economy, with exports reaching USD 11.7 billion in the first four months of 2026—an 8.6% year-on-year increase[1]—fueled by strong demand for semiconductors, high-tech components, and K-beauty products. Against the backdrop of expanding global trade opportunities, this collaboration aims to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs in the region by providing greater access to international markets and specialized logistics expertise to accelerate their overseas growth.

Through this collaboration, more than 86,000 GBSA member companies will benefit from up to 60% discount on FedEx international shipping services, including FedEx International Priority® Express, FedEx International Priority®, and FedEx International Economy®. Leveraging the extensive FedEx global network, these services deliver fast, reliable, and flexible shipping solutions tailored to time-sensitive and high-value shipments across key export markets in Asia, Europe and the U.S.

In addition, FedEx will offer customized customs clearance consulting sessions to select SMEs with limited experience in global trade and logistics. These programs will provide practical guidance on navigating complex customs clearance processes and market-specific regulations, empowering Korean SMEs to expand their global reach with greater confidence.

“We are pleased to collaborate with Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator to empower SMEs in Gyeonggi Province as they navigate a rapidly evolving global trade environment with rising customer expectations,” said Wonbin Park, managing director of FedEx Korea. “Drawing on our global network and nearly four decades of experience in Korea, FedEx remains committed to helping Korean SMEs strengthen their competitiveness in global markets and supporting sustainable growth across the country’s key export sectors.”
