FedEx Associates with the Busan International Film Festival as its Official Carrier for 14th Consecutive Year

FedEx enables movement of over 240 films to and from 71 countries

SEOUL, September 30, 2022 — FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, will once again support the 27th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) held between October 5 to 14. As the event’s official carrier, FedEx will facilitate movement of 242 films from 71 countries, which are specifically brought in for the festival.

This is the 14th consecutive year that FedEx is associating as the official carrier for BIFF. Leveraging its global network connecting 220 countries and territories, FedEx has shipped more than 2,900 films from all over the world for BIFF since 2009.

“Cinema is one of the most passionately followed activities across the world, especially in Korea, and we are once again delighted to support the Busan International Film Festival,” said Eun-mi Chae, managing director, FedEx Express Korea. “Both BIFF and FedEx connect people and possibilities, taking local creations to global destinations. BIFF’s commitment to celebrate cinema from across the globe perfectly complements the strong commitment of FedEx Express to facilitate trade and open up cross-border opportunities for businesses.”

This year, FedEx will also invite 100 customers to attend the BIFF’s 2022 Open Cinema section, where they can experience an exclusive curation of films from across the world.

In addition to BIFF, FedEx in the past has supported multiple international festivals including the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BiFan), the Korea International Art Fair (KIAF), the Asia Top Gallery Hotel Art Fair (AHAF), the Seoul International Youth Film Festival (SIYFF), and the Seoul International Family Film Festival (SIFFF).
