SHANGHAI, September 13, 2011 – The organizing committee of the Shanghai Rolex Masters today announced its transportation plan for this year’s event. The organizing committee released the transportation plan. The shuttle bus service is the highlight of the transportation plan. Based on the experience from past years, the organizing committee has launched a dedicated shuttle bus service for the event by using buses from the Shanghai No. 2 Bus Transport Company to provide efficient and convenient transport services. The shuttle bus starts at the South Square of Xinzhuang Station of the Metro Line 1 and the terminal is between Gate 1 and Gate 2 of Qizhong Tennis Center. The bus stops at Zhuanqiao Station of Metro Line 5. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the route and the ticket costs RMB 2. The operation schedule is as follows.
From Xinzhuang Station to
11:00 am to 19:00 pm, Oct 8 to 16
16:00 pm to 22:00 pm, Oct 8 to 16
In case the matches end later, special night buses will bring the spectators to the Caoxi Road Transport Hub between 21:00 pm and 30 minutes after the matches from Oct 9 to 15.
The shuttle bus plan makes good use of the metro line. It takes into consideration factors such as transfer times, on-bus time, comfort and cost. It shows the organizing committee’s ideas of providing the best services for spectators and trying its best to resolve their transportation concerns.
