Bangkok, Thailand, July 3, 2024 – Federal Express Corporation, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, announced the six winners of the 2024 FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (FedEx/JA ITC) Thailand Finals. This year, the Regional Finals will return to an in-person event for the first time since the pandemic. Taking place in Singapore in August, the winning students from Thailand will compete with students from Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam. Thai students will have a unique opportunity for collaborative brainstorming, exchanging of ideas and insights, and engaging in constructive discussions with peers hailing from a rich tapestry of cultures from across the region.

This year, the students were challenged to develop a market entry strategy targeting Australia for a product centered around water conservation. This project is timely and relevant as extreme heat has impacted Australian ecosystems and infrastructure.

“We are proud to support this program and provide a unique opportunity for these young minds to cultivate their entrepreneurial skills,” said Sasathorn Phaspinyo, managing director of FedEx Thailand. “We recognize the importance of equipping our young generation with essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork; these skills will empower them to excel in today’s rapidly changing business environment. With our commitment to connecting people and possibilities, this invaluable experience serves as a catalyst to inspire our future entrepreneurs and innovators to seize global opportunities and contribute to the growth of Thailand’s economy.”

To date, more than 2,200 Thai students have participated in the FedEx/JA ITC competition, with two students making it to the top three winning teams at the Regional Finals in 2022 and 2023.
