FedEx Recognized with Three HR Asia Awards for People-Centric Workplace Culture

HR Asia Awards for People-Centric Workplace Culture

Taipei, July 12, 2024 — Federal Express Corporation, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, has been honoured with three distinguished awards: “HR Asia Best Company to Work For,” “Sustainable Workplace Award,” and “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Award.” These accolades were presented as part of the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia Awards 2024, organized by HR Asia, a prominent human resources publication in the region. FedEx stands out as the only logistics company in Taiwan to receive these prestigious awards.

The recognition underscores the company’s commitment to fostering a culture that promotes continuous learning, sustainable talent development, open communication with employees, and a gender-inclusive workplace. These core values have propelled the company to the forefront of excellence in corporate culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

A driving force behind FedEx success is its culture of perpetual innovation and the emphasis on open communication channels to gather and act on employee feedback, which in turn fuels business growth. Beyond facilitating self-learning at the workplace, FedEx encourages its team members to contribute to their local communities through FedEx Cares, the company’s volunteer initiative. This program supports various community projects including the FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign, which collects essential supplies for nonprofits; river cleanups in collaboration with the Society of Wilderness; and road safety workshops for students in rural elementary schools, conducted in partnership with the World Peace Foundation. These efforts enable FedEx team members to make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Approximately 40 percent of FedEx team members in Taiwan are women, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to DEI&O. FedEx ensures equal participation and access to resources for women and observes significant events such as International Women’s Day, International Men’s Day, and LGBTQ+ awareness periods to celebrate its diverse workforce. In addition to professional development, FedEx invests in self-development opportunities, training courses, and mentorship programs, providing comprehensive support for its team members. FedEx believes in building a people-centric and sustainable workplace to reap the rewards of having a diverse talent pool that is always improving.

“At FedEx, our people are our most important assets,” said Michael Chu, managing director of FedEx Taiwan. “We believe that a supportive workplace is the cornerstone of a successful business, allowing us to create a win-win-win situation for our employees, customers, and our company. We are honored to receive these three prestigious awards and will continue to cultivate a workplace that embraces innovation and diversity. We are committed to maintaining a gender-equal environment and implementing policies and events that enhance inclusivity, providing a platform for all our team members to maximize their potential.”
