FedEx Recognized for Excellence in Promoting Employee Welfare

Seoul, South Korea, January 3, 2024 — Federal Express Corporation, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, was recently recognized as ‘Korea’s Best Work-Life Balance Company’ by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) in collaboration with several other organizations. This prestigious recognition highlights FedEx commitment to fostering a supportive work environment that prioritizes employee well-being and promotes healthy work-life balance.

This is the first year that the certification program has been introduced by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and other public entities, including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Korea Employers Federation, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Federation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. It acknowledges organizations that implement innovative policies and practices aimed at enhancing work-life balance for their employees. Companies are assessed on several criteria, such as alternative work arrangements, paid annual leaves, working hours, and corporate culture. FedEx was recognized for its comprehensive approach to employee well-being, which comprises flexible work arrangements, and initiatives that support working parents and their children.

FedEx also offers childcare support programs, including 100% paid maternity leave up to 90 days, full tuition coverage for middle and high school education, and 50% subsidy for college tuition.
