FedEx Participates in the First China International Supply Chain Expo

Supporting Stabilized Operation of Global Industrial Chains and Supply Chains, and Facilitating International Economies and Trade

FedEx Participates in the First CISCE

Shanghai, China, November 28, 2023 — FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is set to participate in the first China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). With the theme of “FedEx Connects the World”, FedEx is showcasing its comprehensive networks and professional solutions in the air logistics sector, underscoring its ongoing commitment to sustainable development. FedEx aims to facilitate global trade responsibly by fostering efficient connections across industrial and supply chains.

The FedEx booth features two sections: “Our Solutions to Connect People and Possibilities” and “Our Initiative to Deliver a More Sustainable Future”. By using simulation models, multi-media materials, and interactive devices, FedEx is demonstrating its differentiated services and solutions, focused on international trade and designed to stabilize industrial chains and supply chains. The exhibit also highlights FedEx efforts towards achieving global carbon neutral operations by 2040. Visitors can learn about the long history of FedEx in China, where it has played a crucial role in connecting the local market with the rest of the world. An interactive VR game “Parcel Expert Challenge” allows participants to experience the excitement of receiving “parcels”. The booth includes a sales conversation space, fostering discussions with local customers and partners to gain insights into market demands, and potential business opportunities in the industrial and supply chain sectors.

“FedEx is a firm advocate and facilitator of global trade. We actively support the development of resilient and frictionless supply chains,” said Eddy Chan, senior vice president of FedEx Express and president of FedEx China. “Our vision is to make supply chains smarter for everyone. By building a more flexible, efficient, and intelligent network, we provide both transportation and digital solutions for our customers. Through participation in the CISCE, FedEx aims to collaborate with relevant industries to build secure, stable, efficient, and open international supply chains, contributing to the development and prosperity of the global economy.”

As trade globalization continues to evolve, global industrial and supply chains have become increasingly interconnected. China plays a pivotal role in driving the steady growth of the world economy. With the continuous development of industrial manufacturing and foreign trade, China has become a cornerstone of the global industrial chain and supply chain[1]. Over the next five years, China’s import and export volume of trade in goods and services is expected to exceed US$32 trillion and US$5 trillion respectively[2], injecting new vigor to the world economy.

As the world’s first state-level exhibition dedicated to supply chains, CISCE, themed “Connecting the World for a Shared Future”, serves as a platform for global industrial and supply chain enterprises like FedEx to showcase their comprehensive strengths and explore opportunities. The event also promotes cross-border collaboration across industrial chains, supporting China’s capabilities in maintaining stable global industrial and supply chains.
