FedEx Participates in the 2025 International Airport Expo

Guangzhou, China, September 8, 2025 — Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is participating in the 2025 International Airport Expo held in Guangzhou. From September 8-10, under the theme “FedEx Connects the Globe”, the company exhibits its global logistics network, cutting-edge technology and solutions, as well as diverse sustainability initiatives in the New-Gen Airport Ecosystem zone (Booth D35). These achievements showcased FedEx supporting China’s growth in smart airport economies and connecting to global trade opportunities by fostering innovation in cargo hub development and innovation.

Through simulation models and multimedia displays at the booth, FedEx showcases its air logistics network that connects China with global markets, alongside sustainability efforts such as air network optimization, the use of sustainable fuel, and sustainable infrastructure development. An Augmented Reality (AR) interactive experience will immerse visitors in FedEx international shipping scenarios, underscoring the company’s commitment to building a more efficient, sustainable, and intelligent logistics network for global connectivity.

China remains an indispensable part of the FedEx global network. By continuously enhancing its air and ground logistics network in China and leveraging advanced technology for infrastructure upgrade, FedEx provides customers with flexible connections to key markets in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Currently, the company operates approximately 300 international flights per week in and out of China. Through its six gateways in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Qingdao, and Xiamen, FedEx connects Chinese customers to its extensive global network.

Guangzhou has been significant in FedEx blueprint in China. The FedEx APAC Hub, located at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, has been a major regional hub since its initiation in 2009. The upgrade of FedEx Guangzhou Gateway to FedEx South China Operations Center is slated to complete in 2027. The enhancement will further strengthen FedEx air cargo hub infrastructure in China, providing even stronger support for connecting Chinese businesses to global markets.
