Indonesia, August 15, 2023 - FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is providing a year-long educational program for marginalized youth through its collaboration with International Humanity Foundation (IHF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
FedEx is donating computers and software programs to students from underprivileged communities in Jakarta. In addition, 12 FedEx volunteers arranged special learning sessions on literacy for 70 elementary school children and sessions on global entrepreneurship for 19 high school students.
“By delivering on our purpose to connect people and possibilities, FedEx is committed to helping our future leaders acquire essential skills, which will better equip them to contribute to the local community. We hope this program helps these youth achieve their full potential,” said Garrick Thompson, Managing Director, FedEx Express Indonesia.
“Students at the IHF Jakarta Center have limited financial resources to continue their education. We are here to help and guide them in achieving their dreams. We hope that the collaboration with FedEx Express can open the door to even more opportunities for the students,” said Ade Sucipto, Board Member, IHF Indonesia.
