Indianapolis Update: Supporting our Team Members

We continue to mourn the loss of our eight team members in Indianapolis. Two individuals remain in the hospital with injuries sustained during the attack. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers along with the families and friends of those who have died.

Over the weekend we learned more about our team members through their family members and co-workers. The victims ranged in age from 19 to 74. Their lives represented different ethnicities and religious faiths. They were fathers and mothers; sisters and brothers; sons and daughters. One was a Vietnam veteran. Another was a recent high school graduate. They were our colleagues and valued members of our team. Their lives represent the best of FedEx: the diversity that is the foundation of our strong workforce.

We continue to be in close contact with the families of employees lost in this tragedy. In addition to offering grief counseling and support resources, we are in the process of providing direct financial support for funeral arrangements, hospital expenses, and other needs. FedEx benefits also include coverage for the tragic loss of life.

Many of you have asked how you can help. We have established the Indianapolis 4/15 Survivors Fund through the National Compassion Fund for donations to support the survivors of the deceased and those affected by this tragedy. In addition to providing immediate benefits and support to the families, the company is also making a gift of $1 million to launch this fund. We have included a link above if you would like to contribute, and every dollar raised will go directly to those affected.
