Seoul, South Korea, April 21, 2025 – Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, will participate in the 3rd Korea Cold Chain, taking place at Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) 1 in Ilsan from April 22 to 25, 2025. FedEx will be the only international express transportation company to take part in this exhibition.
The event is hosted by the Korea Food Cold Chain Association and KY Expo, and supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), and the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA). The international exhibition showcases the future of cold chain logistics, presenting the latest innovations and solutions for temperature-controlled transportation, distribution, storage, packaging, and supply chain management across vital sectors such as fresh food and healthcare. This convention will be held concurrently with other leading logistics exhibitions, including the 15th Korea International Materials Handling & Logistics Exhibition (KOREA MAT).
The FedEx booth, organized under the themes of “FedEx”, “Express”, “Freight”, and “Cold Chain”, will showcase its comprehensive portfolio of services including parcel and freight, with a focus on end-to-end cold chain logistics capabilities in managing temperature-sensitive shipments, from the most delicate fresh produce to life-saving pharmaceuticals. FedEx will also highlight its extensive network of Life Science Centers and the innovative FedEx Surround® Monitoring and Intervention solution, offering advanced shipment visibility and control. A dedicated team of experts from FedEx will be available for in-depth discussions with existing and prospective customers from Korea and around the world.
Visitors can also explore the FedEx Life Science Center in Gimpo virtually at the booth, which was significantly upgraded in November 2024. Nearly tripling its previous size to 2,288 square meters, this state-of-the-art facility features five temperature-controlled zones ranging from -150°C to +25°C. All zones are monitored 24/7 continuously to ensure strict compliance with pharmaceutical cold chain standards.
Additionally, FedEx will participate in the “2025 New Technologies Advancing Cold Chain Innovation” seminar held during the exhibition on April 23, 2025. Wonbin Park, managing director of FedEx Korea, will deliver a presentation titled, “FedEx Healthcare Cold Chain Solutions”. His session will delve into the key trends shaping the future of cold chain logistics, the increasing importance of biopharmaceutical logistics, and the company’s strategic initiatives to bolster its healthcare logistics capabilities—including its advanced cold chain facilities at the FedEx Life Science Center and Incheon Gateway.
“The significance of cold chain logistics continues to rise globally, and Korea plays a pivotal role in driving its ongoing advancement,” said Wonbin Park, managing director of FedEx Korea. “We are committed to investing in Korea and introducing customizable end-to-end solutions to meet the evolving demands of our customers.”
