FedEx Teams Spread Festive Cheer by Supporting LocalCharities across Australia and New Zealand
FedEx team members donated more than 1,400 kgs of supplies and essentials to support local communities.
Sydney, Australia, January 23rd, 2024 —FedEx Express Australia and New Zealand (FedEx), subsidiaries of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, collaborated with eight local charities to spread cheers to individuals and families in need during the holidays.
Over 1,000 FedEx team members in Australia and New Zealand, collected more than 1,400 kilograms of much-needed supplies including food items, school supplies, toys and basic hygiene essentials to help these charities in their vital work to support local communities in tough times.
These donations of supplies were made as part of the annual FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign which ran between October to December 2023 to in which FedEx team members to come together and support charities they value most in their local communities.
In Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region, 2,200 FedEx volunteers from 18 markets contributed over 8,000 kilograms of essential supplies for more than 30 charities. The markets including China, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Namibia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the United Arab Emirates took part in the program.
FedEx Cares is a global community engagement program. This year team members came together in teams of all sizes across AMEA. Each team worked with their charities of choice and collected goods they needed most and distributed them in FedEx Cares purple tote bags.

As part of FedEx Cares, team members around the globe are encouraged to come together to ‘Drive forward. Give back’ by volunteering and doing countless acts of caring throughout the year. Earlier In April 2023, FedEx teams across AMEA came together under the ’50 Days of Caring’ to support FedEx 50th anniversary. This program mobilised more than 1,000 FedEx volunteers and their families in community-based activities focused on sustainability and environmental protection, education, welfare, and support for the underserved.
