Tokyo Japan, February 10, 2026 — Demonstrating unwavering commitment to community support, over 900 APAC team members from Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, collected and donated nearly 2,500 kilograms of items for those in need. These efforts have benefited local communities through collaboration with more than15 non-profit organizations (NGOs).
In Japan, more than 130 FedEx employees rallied to assist individuals facing food insecurity, especially during the New Year holiday season. The team collected and donated more than 550 packages of food—totaling over 182 kilograms—including instant noodles, ready meals, canned goods, snacks, tea, coffee, and condiments. These donations were provided to Second Harvest Japan for distribution to those in need.
Additionally, FedEx Japan team members gathered a total of 183 small home electrical appliances and stationery items, weighing over 34 kilograms. These were donated to Habitat for Humanity Japan to help improve the living conditions of women and children residing in a shelter in Tokyo.
These donations of supplies were made as part of the annual FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign which ran between October – December 31, 2025, to empower FedEx team members to see their impact and support the NGOs they value most in their local communities. FedEx volunteers from 10 markets in the region including Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam took part in the program. The donations were delivered in FedEx Cares purple tote bags, symbolizing care and compassion.
“Community is built through action, and the annual FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together to help others. I’m incredibly proud to see our team members step up to support those in need, reflecting the values of ‘taking care of one another’ and ‘contributing to the community’ that define who we are. These culture values are central to our commitment to creating positive change across the region,” said Salil Chari, president, Asia Pacific, FedEx.
“I’m proud of our employees for identifying needs in the communities where we live and work and for taking meaningful action through the Purple Tote Campaign,” said Kei Alan Kubota, managing director of FedEx Japan. “From food to everyday household items, these contributions have delivered tangible support and hope to many. Together, we reaffirm our shared commitment to serving and supporting others.”
