TOKYO, Japan, July 23, 2026 — Federal Express Corporation, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, has delivered donated books to Aoi Tori Home, a maternal and child support facility in Chiba Prefecture, as part ofthe Book Drive initiative conducted in collaboration with the Chiba Jets, a professional men’s basketball team in Japan’s B.League.
The Book Drive initiative collected books from fans attending Chiba Jets games at LaLa Arena in April, as well as from members of nearby communities. FedEx volunteers supported the effort by helping collect donated books at on-site collection booths. In early July, FedEx transported the books to Aoi Tori Home, expanding access to reading materials and learning opportunities for children at the facility.

By enabling the reuse of books, FedEx contributed to reducing waste and extending the lifecycle of valuable resources, supporting environmental sustainability. The deliveries were carried out using a zero-emission electric vehicle, further minimizing environmental impact.
