MEMPHIS, Tenn., August 25, 2026 - FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) today announced that three drivers representing the global transportation company were recognized with top honors at the 2026 National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC) and National Step Van Driving Championships (NSVDC) held Aug. 10-14 in Pittsburgh.

At this year’s NTDC, 59 drivers represented the FedEx brand on the national stage placing first at state-level competitions. Team FedEx showcased extraordinary driving precision, thorough pre-trip inspection expertise, and deep mastery of safety regulations. Drivers representing the FedEx brand outperformed hundreds of competitors nationwide, taking home top honors and reinforcing the FedEx reputation as an industry leader.
Team FedEx had six finalists ahead of the NTDC finals course, on August 14:
- Michael Bills, Straight Truck
- Bob Cochran, Straight Truck
- Bob Ledoux, Step Van
- Greg Long, Step Van
- Rafael Jusfredo of R.J. FONESCA TRANSPORT, INC, Step Van
- Logan Stacho of SJZ LOGISTIC INC, Step Van
Among those finalists, three professional drivers earned top honors in their respective vehicle classes:
- 1st Place: Bob Cochran, Straight Truck from Winthrop, Maine. Cochran has been a professional driver for 39 years, has logged two million safe-driving miles and has now competed at the national championships nine times. He qualified for this year’s competition after taking first place at the Maine Truck Driving Championships.
- 1st Place: Bob Ledoux, Step Van from Swansea, Massachusetts. Ledoux’s career includes 37 years as a professional driver and more than 1,005,000 safe-driving miles. This year marked his 10th appearance at the National Truck Driving Championships, after he earned his spot by winning the Step Van class at the Massachusetts Truck Driving Championships.
- 2nd Place: Logan Stacho of SJZ LOGISTIC INC, Step Van from Parma, Ohio. Stacho of SJZ Logistic Inc., which provides service to FedEx, has a 7-year career as a professional driver and has already accumulated more than 200,000 safe-driving miles. He earned his spot at nationals after winning the Ohio Truck Driving Championships, where he also received the award for Best Written Test.
At the NTDC, drivers completed a written examination that covered material found in the American Trucking Associations’ Facts for Drivers book, were scored on a pre-trip inspection of equipment, and collected points for their skills on a driving course. To be eligible to compete at the state level to qualify and advance to Nationals, competitors had to be accident-free for at least one year prior to the championships.
